The use of cookies

JB Trading makes use of cookies. A cookie is a simple, small file that is sent with pages of this website and is stored by your browser on the hard disk of your computer, mobile phone, smartwatch or tablet. The information stored in it can be sent back to our servers when you visit the site again.

The use of cookies is very important for the proper functioning of our website, but cookies whose effect is not immediately visible are also very important. Thanks to the (anonymous) input of visitors we are able to improve the use of the site and make it more user-friendly.

Consent for the use of cookies

Your consent is required for the use of certain cookies. We obtain this by means of a so-called cookie wall.

The types of cookies used and their purposes

We use the following types of cookies:

Functional cookies: with these we can make the website function better and make it more user-friendly for the visitor. For example: we store your login data, or what you have placed in your shopping basket.

Anonymised analytical cookies: these ensure that an anonymous cookie is generated every time you visit a website. These cookies know whether or not you have visited the site previously. A cookie is only created on your first visit; on subsequent visits the existing cookie is used. These cookies are only used for statistical purposes. For example, the following data can be assembled with them:

  • the number of unique visitors
  • how often users visit the site
  • which pages the visitors view
  • how long visitors look at a particular page
  • which page visitors are on when they leave the site

Our own Tracking cookies: with these we can find out whether, besides our website, you have also visited the other website(s) in our network. The profile that is built up this way is not linked to your name, address, email address and such-like, but is only used to align advertisements to your profile, so that these are as relevant as possible for you. We request your consent for these cookies. So, these cookies are not placed without your consent.

Social media-related cookies: with these, the social media such as Facebook and LinkedIn record which articles and pages you share via their social media share buttons. They may also be cookies which follow your surfing behaviour on the web.

Site improvement cookies: with these we can host different versions of a web page, to see which version is most visited.

Your rights concerning your data

You have a right to inspect, correct, limit or remove personal data. Besides this, you have a right to object to the processing of personal data and a right of data portability. You can exercise these rights by sending us an email via sales@jbtrading.com. In order to prevent abuse, we may ask you to identify yourself. In the case of inspection of personal data linked to a cookie, we ask you to send a copy of the cookie in question with your email. You can find this in your browser's settings.

Blocking and removing cookies

You can easily block and remove cookies yourself at any time, via your internet browser. You can also install your internet browser in such a way that you receive a message if a cookie is placed. In addition, you can indicate that certain cookies may not be placed. For this option, consult your browser's help function. If you remove the cookies in your browser this can have consequences for the satisfactory functioning of this website.

Some tracking cookies are placed by third parties who, among other things, display advertisements via our website. You can remove these cookies centrally via www.youronlinechoices.eu.

However, you should be aware that if you don't want any cookies, we can't guarantee that our website will work properly. It is possible that some functions of the site will be lost, or that you won't even be able to visit the website at all anymore. Besides this, rejecting cookies doesn't mean that you won't see any adverts at all anymore. The adverts are just no longer tailored to your interests and may therefore be repeated more frequently.

The way that you can revise your settings varies between browsers. If necessary, consult your browser's help function, or click on one of the links below to go straight to your browser's manual.

New developments and unforeseen cookies

The texts of our website may be revised at any time through continuous developments. This is also true of our Cookie statement. So you should read this statement regularly in order to stay abreast of any changes.

Blog articles may make use of content that is hosted on other sites, and is opened on JB Trading by means of certain codes (embedded content). Examples include YouTube videos. These codes often make use of cookies. However, we have no control over what these third parties do with their cookies.

It can also happen that cookies are placed by other parties via our websites, which we are not always aware of. If you encounter unforeseen cookies on our website which you cannot see listed in our overview, then let us know via sales@jbtrading.com. You can also contact the third party directly and ask them what cookies they place, why they place them, what the lifetime of the cookies is, and how they safeguard your privacy.
